A Registered Clinical Social Worker is a separate class of registration with the BC College of Social Workers. To qualify to become an RCSW, additional requirements must be met, including:

• Extensive and specialized coursework in the areas of counselling / psychotherapy, human development and mental health disorders, including specialized training in mental health diagnosis using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)
• 3000 hours of post-graduate supervised clinical experience
• Professional references
• Passing the Association of Social Work (ASWB) Board Clinical Exam.  

RCSWs are authorized in the province of British Columbia to use and apply the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V).

I do not  provide crisis or emergency services.  If your child is experiencing an emergency, please contact 911 or go the ER (Victoria General for children aged 16 and under) and Royal Jubilee for aged 17 and up).

FEES 

• Initial Intake Assessment - 75-min - $200.00 
• Play Therapy Session - 60-min - $160.00 
• Teen Counselling Session - 60-min - $160.00
• Parent Counselling - 30-min - $80.00 and 60-min - $160.00
• Family Therapy - 75-min -$200.00

Payment is due at the time of the session.  Accepted payment methods are Visa, Mastercard and EFT (Bank Debit).  Cash is not accepted.  

CANCELLATION POLICY

I require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. This allows me to offer the time slot to another client who may be in need. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session will incur the full session fee, except in cases of emergency or exceptional circumstances (at the therapist’s discretion).

EXTENDED HEALTH BENEFITS

Services are provided by a Masters-level Registered Clinical Social Worker (#10112) in BC.   Many extended health benefits plans cover this service.  I am able to direct bill to some insurance  providers including Canada Life, Sunlife and others. 

BLUE CROSS MEDAVIE - I accept BlueCross Medavie Clients including VAC, CAF, RCMP and IFHP

FIRST NATIONS HEALTH AUTHORITY (FNHA) - I am an approved FNHA mental health service provider.
