Teen Girl Counselling

A safe, supportive space for young women to build confidence, develop coping skills, and feel truly heard.

Teen Girl Counselling

A Safe Space Built Just for You

Are you a young woman who feels weighed down by all the pressures, body image expectations, or relationship drama?

Being a teenage girl today is genuinely hard. Social media, academic pressure, friendship conflicts, and the constant expectation to hold it all together can leave you feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like something is wrong with you. Nothing is wrong with you — and you don't have to navigate it alone.

One-on-one counselling sessions are designed to give you a private, non-judgemental space to explore your feelings, understand yourself better, and build real coping skills. Sessions are tailored to your personality and interests — combining talk therapy with mindfulness, art, music, movement, and games depending on what works best for you.

The goal isn't to fix you. It's to help you discover the strength, confidence, and clarity that's already within you.

"I am passionate about bringing forth the light in every teen I meet - to inspire feelings of empowerment, resiliency, and connectedness."

Teen Girl Counselling FAQs

These sessions are designed for young women between the ages of 13 and 18. Whether your teen is navigating anxiety, friendship issues, body image struggles, academic pressure, or major life changes — or if she simply wants a safe space to talk — counselling can help.

In British Columbia and Ontario, there is no specific age at which a child or teen can consent to counselling or other health care services. Instead, consent is based on whether the young person is able to understand the counselling process and make informed decisions about their care.  This means that some teens may be able to consent to therapy on their own.  In some cases, parent or guardian involvement may still be needed or recommended.

Counselling sessions are confidential and designed to provide a safe, supportive space for young people to speak openly. When appropriate, parent check-ins may be recommended to support communication and progress, while still respecting the young person’s privacy and trust. Limits to confidentiality related to safety or legal obligations are reviewed at the beginning of counselling.

Teen girl counselling is available both in-person at the Victoria, BC office and virtually via a secure video platform, offering flexibility for teens with busy schedules or those who prefer the comfort of their own space; virtual sessions are available to clients located in the province of British Columbia and Ontario at the time of receiving services.

This is very common. The free 15-minute consultation is a low-pressure way to let your teen meet Kiran without any commitment. Sessions are conversational and built around your teen's interests — not a formal sit-and-talk setting. Many teens find they enjoy it once they're there.

Many extended health plans cover services from a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW). Direct billing is available for Sunlife, Greenshield, FNHA, Blue Cross Medavie, CVAP and Telus e-claims. Contact us to confirm coverage under your specific plan.
