Bringing Forth the Light in Every Family

Kiran Dhingra Stenstrom, MSW RCSW

I am passionate about bringing forth the light in every child, teen, or parent that I meet — to inspire feelings of empowerment, resiliency, and connectedness.

With a Master of Social Work degree and registration as a Clinical Social Worker in BC. Kiran brings over 25 years of dedicated clinical experience to every session at Sunray Child & Family Counselling.

Kiran's career spans some of the most complex and meaningful areas of social work — including child welfare, domestic violence, Indigenous health, teen healthy relationships, and child and youth mental health. She currently also practices in infant mental health and attachment at the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children and Youth in Victoria, BC. Kiran is also registered as an RSW in Ontario for Virtual Services.

Her approach is always client-centred: warm, non-judgemental, and deeply attuned to the unique circumstances of every person she works with. Whether you are navigating anxiety, family conflict, a difficult life transition, or looking to build stronger connections with your child, Kiran offers a safe space to begin that journey.

The Name Behind the Practise

Kiran originates from Sanskrit and means "RAY OF LIGHT" — the inspiration for the name Sunray Child & Family Counselling.
